Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Randy Kendrick is a Founder of XBC and has served as its CEO since its inception in 1990. As CEO of XBC, Mr. Kendrick is responsible for the company's development and provides the strategic vision for the firm as it continues to move forward and evolve.

Having grown up around construction, Mr. Kendrick laid the more formal foundation for his career at the University of Southern California, where he studied business administration and completed the prestigious Real Property Development and Management Program; one of only five development programs in the country at the time. Through this program he interned with Oxford Properties, where he became familiar with industrial development opportunities in the Central Market of Los Angeles. Mr. Kendrick's 27 years of acquisition, development and construction experience makes the XBC platform unique. His long track record of successfully building projects throughout the LA Basin allows the firm to compete for business and create quality projects for his clients.

Mr. Killen brings extensive expertise to XBC where he shares companywide management duties and oversees project development from conception to completion. With 20 years' experience in executive level real estate positions and 15 years prior experience in senior architectural positions, he has an established background in design, entitlement, construction and real estate related issues and practices.

Prior to joining XBC, Mr. Killen held senior management positions with Accretive Realty Advisors and Polygon Development where he oversaw acquisitions, entitlements, development and construction of more than 4 million square feet of property throughout Los Angeles. From 1988 to 1998, he was owner and founding Principal of Development DesignSource (DDS), a real estate consulting Development Management Services company with offices in Los Angeles and Newport Beach, California. He established his architectural background as a Partner with Architects Orange in Orange, California from 1981 to 1988. Mr. Killen is responsible for more than 17 million square feet of development and construction in his 33 years of experience and has been an active business associate and investor partner with Xebec since 1992.

Mr. Hook contributes 35 years of construction knowledge and experience to XBC, including 20 years with XBC and eight years with Prizio and Prizio. Throughout his career, he has held various management positions including Project Manager, Estimator, Senior Estimator and Senior Project Manager with an emphasis in site planning and concrete tilt-up construction. Significant projects include, BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir & Cultural Center in Chino Hills, five-building project in Vernon encompassing four commercial/industrial buildings and a meat processing plant and the SureBeam Electron Pasteurization Plant in Vernon. Mr. Hook earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Science from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from California State University, Long Beach. Mr. Hook is responsible for more than 12 million square feet of development in his 35 years of experience.

Gretchen Sauer
Chief Operating Officer
Gretchen Sauer serves as the Chief Operating Officer at XBC. In this role, she is responsible for execution of asset strategies. This includes asset management, property management, leasing, and portfolio management. She also works on a broad range of initiatives across the XBC organization, including issues pertaining to corporate and portfolio strategy, product development, and systems.

Prior to her involvement with XBC, she was a Senior Vice President with IDS Real Estate Group. While at IDS, Ms. Sauer handled all aspects of real estate from securing project entitlements, development, leasing, property management and construction management for a portfolio of office, industrial and residential. During her career at IDS, Ms. Sauer worked predominately with institutional capital from pension funds to REITS. While at IDS she also received her CPM (Certified Property Manager) accreditation from IREM. Ms. Sauer earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Claremont McKenna College.
